Lavine, Lofgren, Morris & Engelberg (LLME) is proud to announce that Abbey Henne, a tax partner with the firm, has been named a 2019 Top 40 Under 40 by The Daily Transcript. The publication’s honorees represent some of the best and brightest young professionals in San Diego County and together are making an impressive impact in the community.
As the first female partner at LLME, Abbey’s mission is serving as an advocate for her clients and developing strategic tax strategies that support their goals. For over 15 years, Abbey has been assisting clients with their tax planning and compliance needs. Abbey works with high net-worth individuals, pass through entities, and closely held companies. She has considerable experience with real estate, service companies, and companies with multi-state issues.
The Daily Transcript highlighted the fact that Abbey also leads LLME’s Wellness Committee, which include initiatives such as on-site yoga, guided meditation, wellness challenges, chair massages, fresh fruit deliveries, healthy cook-offs and biometric screenings. “Work/life balance is an interest of mine and we try to make tax season enjoyable,” Abbey said.
The publication also highlighted her involvement with the Boys and Girls Club for the past nine years. Initially, Abbey was a board member for SPARK, a group of professionals who supported the Boys and Girls Club and worked directly with the children. After SPARK was dissolved, Abbey joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego Foundation Board and has been serving in that capacity for over a year. Abbey sees the value the organization brings to the community. “It changes lives for some of these kids who are at-risk,” she said.
