LLME’s Spring 2026 internship program recently concluded, providing students and recent graduates with exposure to client work and day-to-day firm operations.
This year’s cohort included individuals from universities across Southern California who are pursuing or have recently completed degrees in accounting and taxation. The program is structured to move from foundational training into hands-on experience, giving interns the opportunity to contribute and continue building their skills in a professional environment.
The program began with a focused onboarding covering LLME’s workpaper methodology and the tax platforms used across individual, business, and trust engagements. From there, interns integrated into active teams, supported ongoing projects and gained exposure to the pace and expectations of client work.
Interns were supported throughout the program by Tax Partner Jennifer Glaser, Senior Tax Manager Chelsea Wetherell, Director of Tax Administration Bryan Martinez, and Director of HR Rebekah Mueller. With consistent mentorship and feedback, interns were encouraged to ask questions, take ownership of their work, and further develop their technical and professional skills.
“We want interns to experience the work as it actually happens and understand how to apply what they’ve learned in a professional setting,” says Jennifer. “Our goal is to help them build confidence while developing practical skills they can carry forward.”
“We’ve built this program to be both practical and supportive,” says Chelsea. “Interns are involved in meaningful work while gaining the exposure and perspective needed to make informed decisions about their careers.”
Our involvement in local college campuses and virtual events throughout the year also provides opportunities for prospective interns to learn more about LLME and career opportunities in accounting.
