LLME is excited to welcome our new summer interns, including both students and recent graduates from universities across Southern California and Tennessee. These individuals are pursuing or have recently completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and taxation and are here to gain real-world experience under the mentorship of LLME’s seasoned professionals. The program kicks off with a comprehensive training course on our workpaper process and the tax preparation software we use for individual, business, and trust tax returns.
Under the guidance of Tax Partner Jennifer Glaser and Tax Managers Chelsea Wetherell and Matt Lundgren, interns work alongside our full-time staff, contributing to ongoing projects and learning the intricacies of providing high-quality accounting and tax solutions. This hands-on experience helps bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional application, allowing interns to understand the nuances and complexities of the field.
“Internships are a crucial step in developing future leaders in accounting and taxation,” says Jennifer. “At LLME, we provide interns with the tools and guidance they need to transform academic knowledge into practical skills.”
Throughout the program, our interns have the opportunity to interact with and learn from managers and partners, gaining insights that will help them in their future careers. This year, we are offering weekly panels that provide interns with information on the various roles and departments within the firm. These sessions are designed to give interns a deeper understanding of LLME’s operations and the diverse opportunities in the accounting and taxation fields.
Our involvement in local college campuses and virtual events throughout the year also provides opportunities for prospective interns to learn more about LLME and career opportunities in accounting.
