At LLME, we recognize the crucial role internships play in nurturing up-and-coming leaders in accounting and taxation. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome six summer interns from across Southern California, Colorado and Texas, offering them the invaluable opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the field.
Under the guidance of LLME’s Tax Partner Jennifer Glaser and Tax Manger Chelsea Wetherell, our summer internship program offers these talented individuals a chance to observe, learn, understand and actively contribute to the inner workings of our firm.
“Providing tax and accounting services goes well beyond numbers on a ledger,” says Jennifer. “It’s nuanced and complex. It requires deciphering the stories financial data tells, understanding client needs and ultimately guiding them toward making informed decisions. None of which can be learned in a classroom.”
Our summer interns are currently pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and taxation at universities including Point Loma Nazarene University, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Texas and University of California San Diego.
As part of the program, LLME’s interns completed a basic training course on the firm’s workpaper process and the tax preparation software used for individual, business and trust tax returns. They are now working alongside our full-time staff to advance LLME’s mission of providing high-quality and innovative accounting and tax solutions for individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses and nonprofits.
