Before officially turning the calendar on 2023, LLME gathered at Green Acre Campus Point for a night of glitzy, Las Vegas-inspired merriment to celebrate a year of achievements, growth and unwavering support from our incredible team and clients.

As we gathered to share the joys of the holiday season, we were once again reminded that our successes are not simply measured in numbers but in the relationships we have built and the trust we have earned.

Here are our a few highlights from our year:

• Embracing our role in educating and inspiring our colleagues of tomorrow, LLME welcomed six interns this summer. The interns, hailing from Point Loma Nazarene, University of Colorado, University of Texas and UC San Diego, received comprehensive training and contributed to our team’s ability to provide quality accounting and tax solutions. Our team also engaged numerous Southern California students at recruiting events and presented on defining success to the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) chapter at San Diego State University.
• LLME continues to invest in the growth of our team by promoting from within. In 2023, Daniel Hill was elevated to audit manager, while Lacy Pollack and Philip Ventura were both promoted to tax managers. Additionally, we welcomed Gina Meadows as HR director, further strengthening our leadership and expertise.
• We encourage our team to be caring, engaged citizens who make positive contributions to the local community. This starts with us. This year, LLME partnered with Promises2Kids to host a holiday toy drive, volunteered at a pet adoption event with the San Diego Animal Support Foundation and participated in HomeAid San Diego’s Annual Walk to End Homelessness.
• In recognition of our team’s commitment to thoughtfully navigating clients through unique tax and accounting challenges to achieve their goals, we went all in on celebrating their dedication. We marked the end of the traditional tax season with a day of rest, relaxation and fun at Rancho Bernardo Inn, and later partook in the race-day revelries at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.
